Development: "The Patient Financial Services Department nominates Organizational Development to receive the traveling trophy. Peggy and Dan model engagement. They demonstrate INTEGRITY by helping all employees without expecting a reward or recognition. They are honest with employees about the steps needed to achieve personal goals. DEVOTED in making sure all departments are successful. They organized and led the State of Team meetings along with their busy schedules and normal work load. They volunteer at Community Table modeling dedication not only to BBGH, also to the community. They show EXCELLENCE to assure all employees have the tools they need to achieve not only their health goals but also their financial, community, social and career goals. They remember every employee as an individual and can address them by name, they are engaged. They are extremely COMPASSIONATE having a holistic approach to do our wellbeing. Box Butte General Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital with 25-beds for all patient types - acute, observation, swing, intensive care and OB, with a staff of over 260 employees providing a variety of services. BBGH is accredited by The Joint Commission, the nation's predominant standards-setting and accrediting body in health care since 1951 and is a designated basic level trauma center. The active medical staff is comprised of a balance of physicians and non-physician providers (physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurse anesthetists) to serve the primary healthcare needs of Box Butte County and beyond. Additionally, BBGH offers a variety of outpatient specialty services through its Multi-Specialty Clinic. Current specialties offered include: Cardiology; ENT; General Surgery; Gynecology; Dermatology; Oncology; Ophthalmology; Orthopedic Surgery; Oral Surgery; Urology; Behavioral Health; Podiatry; and Neurology. The Hospital also has four Greater Nebraska Medical & Surgical Services (GNMSS) clinics. Two of them are in the Medical Arts Plaza in Alliance: Family Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine. Two satellite GNMSS clinics are located in Hemingford and Hyannis: the Hemingford Clinic and the Hyannis Clinic (located in the Cow Country Health Center). This week we celebrate our Cardiovascular Professionals! BBGH’s Cardiac Rehabilitation team is dedicated to helping patients with cardio-pulmonary diseases adopt a healthier lifestyle. This 12-week program offers medically supervised exercise sessions, personalized risk factor management, treatment compliance monitoring, and written and video education. We offer both cardiac and pulmonary rehab services here at BBGH which may include patients that are recovering from a heart attack, stent placement, cardiac bypass surgery, valve replacement, heart failure, COPD, any chronic lung disease, and those who are needing supervised exercise post-COVID.
