Live the Values Congratulations to Don Baxter for his nomination and selection as a 2023 Live the Values Award Winner! In 2023, Don volunteered to say a few words during the quarterly Program Management Office (PMO) all hands meeting at our Dahlgren office. Don graciously discussed what it means to work for and be part of an Alaska Native Company, and also selected an I?upiat value to describe. More importantly, he offered to discuss how to incorporate the value into day-to-day business operations. Don chose the I?upiat value of Humor and provided a story to make his point about how bringing laughter to the workplace can lighten the mood, enhance creativity/productivity, and relieves stress. Since that day, Don became the "go to" in the Dahlgren PMO for a laugh, and he frequently starts our meetings with a good "dad joke." Given the day-to-day grind most of us experience, Don's focus on humor has proven to be a breath of fresh air and a reminder that we all need a little laughter in our lives, including (and maybe especially) at work. For his efforts, Don was nominated and selected for the I?upiat value of Humor (Quvian?uniq). Congratulations, Don!
