Last weekend, BOWA Gives had over 350 girls attend a two-day event that was focused on empowerment, connection, and competition The weekend was a success and I look forward to getting back in the lab and planning for 2026. The 2nd Annual Bowa Gives Girls’ Invite was one for the books! This weekend, Bowa Gives brought together young athletes for a day of competition, camaraderie, and confidence-building at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center. In partnership with the Chicago Park District and National Girls & Women in Sports Day, we created a space where these young women could push their limits, make new friends, and be inspired by Olympians, Shamier Little and Anavia Battle, who know what it takes to go the distance. From the incredible display of athleticism on the track to the powerful words of encouragement from all our special guests, this event was a reminder that when young women are given the opportunity to compete, they gain more than medals—they gain lifelong confidence, leadership skills, and a network of support. A huge thank you to our sponsors and partners for investing in the next generation of strong, fearless, and determined young women. The Bowa Gives Girls Invite Weekend just got even more exciting! We’re thrilled to welcome two Ohio State track coaches to this empowering event, inspiring the next generation of athletes. On day 1, the young athletes will get to meet & hear from Rosalind Joseph, Director & Head Coach of Track & Field, and on day 2, Joel Brown, Associate Head Coach of Track & Field will be on the track! @bowagives & @bowaconstruction are deeply rooted in Buckeye pride— Bowa Gives Executive Director & Bowa Construction President/ CEO, proud Ohio State alums , honed their discipline on the track, laying the foundation for both Bowa and Bowa Gives.
