A few days ago in a post celebrating the 90th birthday of Gloria Steinem I used the phrase "internalized Misogyny". Upon reflection I realize that phrase may have come across as blaming women. That was not my intention. Over the course of my career I have found that many women have internalized male beliefs and socializations. They exist in us in our subconscious and unconscious. Many women don't want to initiate dialogues about the "possibility" these beliefs have formed our self-concept. I am hoping that these conversations can begin to blossom.

Happy 90th Birthday to Gloria Steinem. So many of us stand on your shoulders striving for female equality in the workplace and other places too. We’ve made a lot of strides but still have a long way to go. The glass ceiling has cracks in it but must be removed totally. My personal belief is many women have to address their own internalized mysogny before we can walk shoulder to shoulder with the men in our lives. We need to embrace the Divine Feminine. She’s calling out to us to unshackle her and let her energies flow freely.
