A group of us from Bournewood were delighted to have a small celebration recently for state Rep. Kay Khan, whose late husband Dr. Nasir Khan owned and led Bournewood for many years. After his passing in 2014, she took over the reins for a brief time. Rep. Khan is devoted to public service and as a psychiatric nurse, especially to behavioral health issues and policy. After 30 years of service in the state Legislature, Rep. Khan is retiring at the end of this year. She has fought tirelessly inside and outside the Legislature for behavioral health awareness and change. Congratulations Kay on your well-deserved retirement!
