What should we actually be using AI for today? Something you didn’t know about me… I started off selling ads for the phone book for HR Donnelly at Dexone. It was my first job after college. They had a “digital” platform called dexknows. Let’s just say that didn’t last long ??. But every day I had to hit 75 dials. No account info besides their name, biz name, and address. I did it live - as Bill O’Reilly would say. This time was short lived but it has shaped my entire career. This is why I always prioritize teaming up with sales. We’re in a team sport. As someone who uses AI daily, I would never use it for the following: Don't use AI for ??: - Fake UGC content creation, I've seen this recently - sorry but in my world that's false advertising. - AI avatar outreach (Unless you make it interesting or put a spin on it) - I'll never let it write my scripts, never ever. - Communication with personal relationships. What I would and do use it for ?: - Manual tasks and automated everyday workflows. - Research has been super helpful lately. Getting quick feedback on topics or information on companies/industries. - Image generation and b-roll of course. Some things are just for humans. My friends at Bounti.ai get it. I'm a big fan of AI, but I still think some things are only meant for humans. Like: ?? Relationships, whether social or business. There is no way you're having an authentic relationship with AI (like I tried here ????). ?? Letting AI write your video script or final content ouput. This is a creative medium, get your ideas from AI but you execute it! ?? Don't let it make social relationships by fake commenting and DMs. People want to talk to people lets not forget that. With that being said I love AI for: ?? Handling admin tasks so you can focus on whats important. ?? Helping to make your story or creative even better with apps like Midjourney and Runway.
