"We, too, want 'Palestine to be free' and we support Palestinian aspirations for a peaceful state of their own. But the world cannot afford another failed state—another Lebanon or Afghanistan, both of which have been hijacked by terrorists. Avoiding that fate in a "free Palestine" means freeing them from many different things first." Our latest on Newsweek. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gUttdtwv #Israel #Zionism

We're partnering with communities to revitalize Israel education and take bold collective action to combat Jew-hatred.
关于我们
Founded in 2021, Boundless's vision is to become the hub enabling Jewish institutions to educate their stakeholders about Israel's centrality to Jewish life while safeguarding the security of Jewish communities. Over the past two years, we have undertaken in-depth research to surface the root causes of key communal challenges, improved knowledge-sharing, developed recommendations to mitigate the harms of online Jew-hatred, and are laying the groundwork to reimagine Israel education in North America. Our culture is animated by curiosity, integrity, respect, and a deep sense of purpose. Join our mailing list to learn more: https://boundlessisrael.org/mailinglist

"The reality on the ground is this: Israel is doing what every democracy would do when faced with similar attacks: fighting back to eradicate the responsible groups. But from a global perspective, Israel is just the tip of the spear in a wider conflict with an increasingly nihilistic and technologically sophisticated network of radical Islamists... What do you think happens next? The first quarter of this century has made it clear: democracies under attack from terrorists are well within their rights to vehemently fight back. The court's ruling—if taken seriously—risks squandering these hard-fought lessons in the service of a dangerous joke." Read more from Aviva Klompas in Newsweek: https://lnkd.in/dUVAeZDm

"The West must stop taking a sanctimonious posture whenever Israel refuses to commit suicide in the name of a sentimental and sanitized version of democratic liberalism that its allies never apply to themselves. Instead, we must together uphold a single standard that recognizes terrorism as unequivocally beyond the pale and empowers democracies like Israel to defend themselves." What comes first during Trump’s First 100 Days? Aviva Klompas contributes to a New York Post piece on what to expect upon President-Elect Donald Trump's inauguration. "Trump has made clear he’s ready to confront Iranian aggression head-on — a sharp departure from the Biden administration’s reluctance to escalate the conflict, which emboldened Iran and its proxies. Trump has urged decisive action by Israel, which will now have greater freedom in prosecuting its war against Iran and its terror proxies." Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eP64aKF6

In a letter to the editor of the The New York Times (Re “Emails Reveal Oct. 7 Debates Inside Harvard” (front page, Nov. 1)), Rachel Fish writes about an antisemitism bill currently stuck in the United States Senate. "For months, the House-backed Antisemitism Awareness Act has languished in the Senate because some lawmakers were afraid of backlash from voters who oppose Israel’s war in Gaza and sympathize with campus activists. But the law is not about setting foreign policy or stifling free speech. It’s about protecting American Jews..." Read more: https://lnkd.in/ex-HRxbU

Boundless President and co-founder Rachel Fish writes in The Wall Street Journal about DEI's failure to understand Jewishness ("DEI Programs Don’t Understand Jewishness"): "In my extensive work over the past year with DEI, academic affairs and student-service professionals, I have found this to be a blind spot. Some college administrators have told me that when they think about Jews, they conjure images of the ancient Jews from the Bible, or of Holocaust victims, but not of 21st-century students on their own campuses. Others struggle to separate Israeli policy from Jewish identity. Understanding Jewish identity means recognizing that Jews are a modern ethno-religious people with a complex identity. In other words, Jewish students are real people facing real harassment who need real support." https://lnkd.in/ehfcjEfJ

In an opinion piece for Newsweek, Aviva Klompas writes, "For Americans, supporting Jewish communities should be reason enough to confront antisemitism. But if more is needed, we must also recognize that the foundational principles that underpin American democracy cannot survive in a society where hate and intolerance are given space to flourish." It is indeed Time for a Reckoning With Antisemitism in the U.S. Read on: https://lnkd.in/eekXtwm7
