Opportunities To Name/Sponsor New Space At Bounce Innovation Hub in Akron. Many of you know that we've been hard at work expanding our Generator space to the second floor at Bounce Innovation Hub this year! Our expanded space will offer 10 more private offices, 4 more conference rooms, huddle rooms, phone booths, and a new event space—not to mention more artwork, locally made furniture, and vibrancy throughout. This renovation project was generously made possible by support from the U.S. Economic Development Administration, the City of Akron, Ohio, the County of Summit, Ohio, and the Burton D. FREE HELP & ADVICE! Navigating the New Beneficial Ownership Information Filing Requirements for Small Businesses Free for Anyone! Attention startup and small business owners! The U.S. government now requires many small companies— including those with 10 or fewer employees—to report Beneficial Ownership Information to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. This includes detailed information on anyone who owns or controls at least 25% of your company. Whether you're a newly-formed startup or an existing business, the filing deadline is fast approaching—you must submit your Beneficial Ownership Information by January 1, 2025, or face fines of up to $500. On December 4, noon-1:30 pm, Bounce will host a free in-person event to help you understand exactly what information needs to be reported, who qualifies as a beneficial owner, and how to comply with these new regulations. Austin Kettner is one of Bounce Innovation Hub’s Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIR) with a long-standing history with the organization. He co-founded The Bit Factory, the blueprint for Bounce’s accelerator program, and helped design Bounce’s website. He is also co-founder of the software consulting agency Wonderkiln and has extensive experience creating software solutions for businesses. In developing its workshop series, Beyond Startup, Bounce knew that Austin’s expertise could provide participants with valuable insights into building a web presence for their new business. As an EIR, Austin works with Bounce clients to leverage intelligent web design and utilize digital tools crucial to a company’s success. Registration Now Open Bounce Innovation Hub’s next Beyond Startup workshop, “Sales Prospecting,” will be held on Wednesday, December 4, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Use your customer persona and LinkedIn to develop relationships with people you can target your business-to-business sales efforts toward. The goal is to build real relationships that lead to sales rather than resorting to high-volume but ultimately unsuccessful sales blasts. You’ll also develop a simple outreach script to help you put your sales efforts in motion. Registration is now open.
