Boulder Council for International Visitors (BCIV) was founded in 1962 as a non-profit volunteer organization with a focus on citizen diplomacy. It was founded to encourage understanding and friendship between the community and its visitors from abroad. BCIV is part of a national network of organizations that program visitors that are on the U.S. State Department's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). BCIV is also a Member of Global Ties U.S, a national network of international exchange.
