Last Friday, New York City Office of Mayor-Elect Eric Adams, along with key officials, celebrated record-breaking achievements in supporting minority- and women-owned business enterprises (M/WBEs) for Fiscal Year 2024. The city awarded $6.4 billion in contracts to M/WBEs, setting new records. This aligns with Mayor Adams' OneNYC goal of awarding $25 billion in M/WBE contracts by FY26 and a broader vision of creating a more equitable economy. To further advance these efforts, Mayor Adams announced the formation of the M/WBE Advisory Council, led by Chief Business Diversity Officer Michael J. Garner and co-chaired by William Thompson and Elizabeth Velez. ????
