Over the past two weeks, our career and volunteer personnel have been working tirelessly to keep our community safe in the face of snow, ice, flooding, and high winds. ?????? ? Increased staffing to prepare for winter weather impacts ? Rescue operations including a hiker in distress in Buchanan ? Flood readiness with boats repositioned and crews monitoring rising waters ? Coordination with Emergency Management & Special Ops for swift water responses ? Monitoring Rainbow Forest Lake for potential dam concerns ? Sharing important safety information with the community through our media partners- watch here: https://lnkd.in/eN4_sPwy ? Clearing downed trees & power lines after strong winds From everyday fire and EMS calls to large-scale emergency response, our teams work on the front lines and behind the scenes—tracking forecasts, preparing equipment, and coordinating efforts to protect Botetourt County. They are monitoring condituons today and urge folks to be safe on the roadways. We grateful for their dedication! ?? ????
