My contrarian view on stablecoins: stablecoin adoption will accelerate global bitcoin adoption. All other currencies will hyperinflate faster due to USD stablecoins. It's like the milkshake theory for stablecoins. When every person in the world has access to the USD, the most wanted currency in the world, the local currencies will be crowded out faster by USD stablecoins. At that point people are comfortable to being on-chain, managing their own wallet and the change to Bitcoin is not that far away anymore. The biggest hurdle today is still private key management / understanding the onchain environment. Everyone outside of US and Europe understands inflation to the core, and when they are comfortable being onchain they will quickly adopt Bitcoin. Once USD starts inflating, Bitcoin will take over the reigns.

The Botanix Labs team just got back from our offsite in Puerto Rico, and we are back at our desks renewed, refocused, and pumped to be building the future of Bitcoin. From requesting Bad Bunny all over San Juan, to hitchhiking back down a jungle mountain, to endless riddle games in long car rides - a time was had, and core memories were locked in. We even used "Minecraft" as a code word for Bitcoin, much to the bemusement of every establishment we entered. And this is why we will win. Because we care about each other, and because we care about Bitcoin. Being a Bitcoiner, and building on Bitcoin, is the most human thing in the world. It means we care about a world with censorship-resistance, freedom, and self-sovereignty. And we care about doing it in the most mission-aligned nation ???? From NYC to Puerto Rico to the world, let's bring it back home to Bitcoin.
