Had the privilege of joining Dusty Stahl and Shiv Bhakta ?? from Active Surfaces at a Boston Solar commercial installation in Jamaica Plain, Boston last week! This project was developed by our partners at Resonant Energy for a newly rehabbed, mixed-income, affordable apartment community featuring a 121.24 kW DC / 100 kW AC rooftop solar system consisting of 250 panels and estimated to generate 130,296 kWhs in its first year of operation. Regularly visiting installation sites allows our leadership team to engage with teams and customers, ensuring we address pressing issues and enhance our efficiency and service. Collaborating with Active Surfaces, pioneers in solar technology, adds value to the experience. Active Surfaces is reshaping solar energy's role in combating climate change, expanding solar potential, and accelerating adoption through MIT-patented, flexible solar technology. I am thrilled to share that Boston Solar has recently finalized a significant contract with Nashoba Valley Winery, the top fruit wine producer in Massachusetts. The collaboration involves the design and installation of a 123 kW solar system, anticipated to generate an impressive 145,275 kWhs within the initial year. The Boston Solar team continues to make strides in offsetting high energy costs for clients across Massachusetts every week! ?? Our commercial team recently completed a project for Excel Academy Charter Schools in East Boston, founded in 2003 with a mission to provide high-quality education to students in East Boston and Chelsea, Massachusetts. The project, comprising two rooftop systems - 37.83kW DC and 69.84kW DC, totaling 107.67kW DC across the campus, will generate 118,984kWhs in the first year, significantly reducing the academy's energy consumption. #RenewableEnergy #SolarPower #Sustainability #CommunityImpact

We welcomed many of our distributors, enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by our VP of Operations, Stephan MacPhee, competed in a lively corn hole tournament, and wrapped up the day with food and drinks at a local Woburn spot. This event gave us a wonderful opportunity to take a break from our usual routine, have fun, and connect with colleagues we might not interact with daily. Recently, the Boston Solar team had the privilege of speaking to the Greater Lawrence Technical School's (GLTS) first graduating class of solar installers!?Joined by Johanna Becker Kiley, our Director of Human Resources, and Thomas Alden Young, our Director of Commercial Operations, we were able to provide graduates with an overview of our company and the industry to help them prepare for their new careers. They had some great questions! The mission of GLTS is to prepare adults 18 years and older with the practical skills and knowledge needed for employment in priority industries.?This 15-week Solar Installer Technical Training Course challenges students to learn everything from electrical theory to hands-on installation of solar equipment at one of several rooftop and ground-mount mockups on campus.?Moreover, the students receive multiple certifications, including OSHA 10.?This program is offered at no cost to eligible participants. Boston Solar is the trusted, local provider of solar and energy storage solutions in New England.?We are committed to partnering with GLTS and other educational providers that recognize and that reskilling our local workforce not only offers the chance at a rewarding career in a growing industry, but also supports our region in achieving renewable energy transition targets.
