We are proud to celebrate our first in-school Beats Rhymes and Life Showcase! Beats Rhymes and Life Boston out of Children's Services of Roxbury, Inc. runs a career exploration course at BDEA. Students wrote and produced four original songs, and our Theater (Actors' Shakespeare Project) and Art classes worked together to design the set for the show. We recognize our student artists and performers, and we are deeply grateful for our partnership with these organizations.

关于我们
BDEA is a student-centered, competency based school, and uses neither Carnegie units (A, B, C, D, F) nor traditional grade levels (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th) to measure success or progress. We are a family of teachers, support staff, students, and education, non-profit and community partners, all focused on one thing: learning. Our Mission: Boston Day and Evening Academy re-engages off-track students in their education preparing them for high school graduation, post-secondary success and meaningful participation in their community. Our Vision: Boston Day and Evening Academy will continue to be an innovative leader in student-centered education for off-track learners.

We are so proud of our Adrianne Level and her incredible leadership - and thankful to the Rising Stars Program for their trusted partnership.
We’re excited to feature Adrianne Level, the amazing leader of #BDEA 2.0 & Blended Learning at Boston Day and Evening Academy! Under her guidance, BDEA is creating #innovative programs for young Black and Brown men, focusing on hands-on, project-based learning. Adrianne has a true talent for building partnerships that unlock opportunities for students, giving them the support and resources to thrive in their #trade careers. We’re proud to collaborate with BDEA through the #RisingStars Program, and even more excited to have launched the #AchieveGreen initiative together. This partnership led to the successful graduation of our first cohort earlier this year, marking a huge milestone in empowering the next generation of skilled professionals. Thank you, Adrianne, for your incredible impact on the next generation!

Today BDEA held it's first Annual College & Career Fair for our high school students, welcoming more 13 community partners, colleges and post-secondary access organizations. Starting with a panel during which teachers and staff shared information about their own academic and professional journeys, students participated in two learning workshops focused on their future. The event was put on by BDEA's Post Graduate Planning (PGP) office - an integral resource at our school, supporting students in an individualized manner to create a challenging and achievable plan for continued academic pursuits and professional success after BDEA. Thank you Mariama White-Hammond for delivering your deeply meaningful commencement speech for BDEA's September graduation last night. You honored 14 young scholars with your words - as well as the partners, board members and guests who joined us in celebration. Your words reminded us of the power of a support team. We are grateful for ours in attendance: Boston Public Schools, Hope & Comfort, United Way of Massachusetts Bay Audax Group Emerson College.

It is HBCU Week and last night BDEA held the first of our four annual graduations. One of our graduates has already matriculated to Morgan State University - one of the four incredible institutions —Morgan State, Bowie State, Howard, and Coppin State— that our students visited during our April 2024 HBCU tour. The HBCU tour inspired new possibilities for our scholars, and we are proud of our students as they reach their post-secondary dreams. #HBCUWeek #HBCUPride #HBCULove #HistoricallyBlackColleges #FutureLeaders #BlackExcellence #CollegeTour #MorganState #BowieState #HowardUniversity #CoppinState #BlackScholars #HigherEducation #Graduation #Diploma
