Today is World Mental Health Day — a good time for us as the Boston College Center for Work & Family to amplify the recent calls to action to support caregivers of all types. Nearly three-quarters of employees have some sort of caregiving responsibilities, and more than half say this makes it difficult for them to care for their own mental health. U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy reminds us that caregiving “at its best is a team sport”.?So, check in on yourself and your colleagues and remember that with the right support caregiving at its best can be a significant and healthy source of joy and purpose.? #worldmentalhealthday #caregiversupports #caregiving
