Boston Center for Community Ownership is a training and technical assistance provider, supporting cooperative businesses in all stages of growth and development. We are Co-op Organizers, developing leadership in people from low-wealth communities, so they can build shared economic power through democratic management. We offer generalized and custom training programs; startup incubation from team building to launch; support for co-op conversions; assembling financing for co-ops, including loans, equity, and crowdfunding; loan readiness including financial planning and projections; governance support including development of bylaws, policies, and training for board members; business plan writing and facilitation of strategic planning; bookkeeping and financial management services; and implementation of software and systems including CRM, POS, scheduling, and project management SaaS options. Our work is primarily in Eastern Massachusetts in Rhode Island, with occasional projects in other states.
