This last Saturday, Captain Shawn F. had the opportunity to attend the 15th Annual Run to Home Base and support all the amazing runners who raised money for the foundation. While at the run he also had the chance to discuss healthcare recruiting of the US Army and US Army Reserves with the Army Surgeon General, LTG Mary Krueger Izaguirre, as well as Dr. Joe Santiago, Secretary of the Executive Office of Veteran’s Affairs. In the evening some of the Brawlers were in attendance for the Boston Red Sox game celebrating women’s service in the military. The last two days we had the privilege of hosting Major Andrew Jenzer in Boston. He was the guest speaker at the Tufts Dental School military commissioning ceremony on Monday and yesterday he spoke at a dental lunch and learn with 35 current dental students. The company command team, CPT Shawn Frazzini and 1SG Jake Swanson also presented MAJ Jenzer with a gift of gratitude for him taking the time to support the medical recruiting mission. MAJ Jenzer is an Army Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon (63N) and currently serves as the OMS program manager, while serving at Fort Liberty, NC. Please message us if you are interested in learning how you can become a dentist in the Army or Army Reserves or if you would like to talk directly to MAJ Jenzer. Recently, the Brawlers were able to support a true fighter. 1SG Swanson’s daughter spent a few days in the hospital where she showed what a true competitor mindset meant. She knew the challenge and faced it straight on. Her spirit never waivered, while she also lifted those around her. Thanks for being an incredible inspiration Kennedy! “If it's worth it, you will fight for it. If it's worth it, you won't give up when it gets hard" - Jon Gordon. Stick together and don’t give up. It always matters to someone.
