After five years of incredible work at BII, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Zack Neville Young, who has been an integral part of our team since 2019. With his unique blend of expertise and passion for mission-driven organizations, Zack has played a pivotal role in our investing activities, nurturing relationships with entrepreneurs, and the launch and ownership of our Emerging Fund Manager Cohort program. We had a great time at the Flip the Script Investor Pitch Competition, hosted by our friends at Social Enterprise Greenhouse! We had the opportunity to pitch to Docs for Health alongside other cool investors,?Thorne Sparkman?with Slater Technology Fund and Anthony Rust with Mill Cities Community Investments, and we had a blast! Our FIRST EVER CEO Roundtable was a SUCCESS Yesterday, September 19th, we hosted our inaugural CEO Roundtable, a summit-style event that brought together over 30 of our portfolio companies for a day of learning, thought leadership, and community. At BII, we are focused on investing in entrepreneurs of color and underserved communities in every way possible. We are changing how capital is invested in our communities by putting relationships and impact at the center.
