Chauffeurs are making a comeback—this time in virtual form. Since the invention of the automobile, mobility has continuously evolved. What started with chauffeurs soon shifted to individuals taking the wheel. Could the next step be that cars can get from point A to point B without a driver? Could the chauffeur of tomorrow be the car itself? Learn more on the Bosch History Blog: https://lnkd.in/gP7znUyu

Quick! Tilt your smartphone. A tiny “MEMS” sensor recognizes the rotation of your device. Sensors power some of your smartphone’s most convenient features, from waking up your display to activating the voice assistant on wireless headphones. More than half of all new smartphones rely on Bosch sensors for those everyday functions. Since 1995, we have sold over 23 billion MEMS sensors, and by the end of 2030, we plan to produce 10 billion more. A shoebox-sized rover capable of navigating the conditions of the Moon's surface... Vivek Jain and his team are up to the challenge.
?? ?????????????? ????????: ??????????????????? & ???????????????????? ?????????????? At Bosch Research, we are bringing autonomous technology to the Moon. As part of a NASA-funded project, we are working with Astrobotic, WiBotic, the University of Washington, Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies, and NASA Glenn Research Center to develop GPS-free navigation and wireless charging for CubeRover?, a lightweight, modular exploration vehicle designed for lunar and planetary missions. ?? With no GPS available, CubeRover? relies on camera data, sensor fusion, and Wi-Fi fingerprinting to navigate precisely, even in harsh lunar conditions. Since it is too small for large solar panels, it recharges wirelessly from a lander, ensuring a stable energy supply while also generating heat to withstand freezing temperatures. The team, led by Vivek Jain, Head of Wireless Connectivity & Sensing at Bosch Research, is eager to see CubeRover? in action on the Moon, as navigating and charging autonomously in such an extreme environment will be a game-changer for space exploration. ?????????? ???????? ?????????? ?????? ?????????????? ????????: https://lnkd.in/eHsaHZ3u #BoschResearch #SpaceTech #CubeRover #WirelessCharging #AutonomousSystems
