On November 16th, the Boston Marriott Hotel in Burlington came alive with magic, hope, and solidarity during the NEACOL Gala 2024, an unforgettable event that brought together a community passionate about transforming the lives of Colombian children. On behalf of NEACOL, we extend our gratitude to all attendees, sponsors, donors, and volunteers who made this extraordinary gathering possible. The evening was a heartfelt tribute to love and generosity. Special thanks to our speakers Julio Mantilla, Marcela M. Danesh, MBA, Mónica Pinzón and Laura Maria Torres, who shared insights about the organization's past achievements and current challenges. We are also deeply grateful to Colombian tenor David Rivera Bozón, whose extraordinary voice and talent earned resounding applause from the audience. Our sincere appreciation goes to our masters of ceremonies, Laura Cardona and Rafael Moreno, for their hosting and dedication to making the evening unforgettable. Six weeks in to my new role and I got to be part of the planning and execution of the Merrimack Valley YMCA 144th Annual Meeting. What a great community celebration of the Y's work this past year honoring volunteers who give so much of their time to support our youth, our programs and our branches. How lucky am I to be the one to make sure we amplify these stories? ?? Amazing work by our team to put together this beautiful event, including videos and an annual report. It's been a whirlwind!
