On the afternoon of October 3, the Borough of Conshohocken’s Fire, Public Services, Emergency Management, Licenses and Inspections, and Police Departments teamed up for a cleanup of the Schuylkill River. The team pulled approximately 3,300 pounds of trash and debris—including tires, various vehicle parts, a patio umbrella, (ironically) a trash receptacle, and two metal picnic tables—out of the river. Thank you to Joe Dillon with Atlantic Haven for helping organize and coordinate the cleanup.
