At BorgWarner, sustainability is at the heart of what we do. Recently, over 100 employees and their families participated in our Ramos Arizpe campus’s annual reforestation event, planting 500 trees in the mountains of Coahuila. We are excited to share that Joseph Fadool has been appointed #President and #ChiefExecutiveOfficer of #BorgWarner, effective at the close of business on February 6, 2025. He succeeds Frédéric Lissalde who will retire from those roles and serve as an advisor until August 30th. While Fred’s not going anywhere just yet, we are grateful for his many contributions over his tenure and wish him all the best in his next chapter. Joe has been a valued member of our leadership team for 14 years, including most recently as Chief Operating Officer. We are confident that his deep understanding of our business, proven track record of operational excellence and strong customer relationships make him the right person to guide us forward. With Joe at the helm, we look forward to continuing to enhance our strong product portfolio, efficiently manage our costs, and create value for all of our stakeholders. In 2023, nine BorgWarner facilities in Portugal, China, Mexico, and Spain installed or expanded their onsite solar panels, driving us closer to our goal of reducing operational carbon emissions! ?? These projects are expected to produce over 10.1 GWh of energy annually and avoid more than 6,000 metric tons of CO2e each year. We’re proud to report a 32% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions since 2021, and a 48% increase in renewable energy use in 2023.
