关于我们

We design engaging employee development experiences to transform knowledge into action and productivity through science + fun. Maximize organizational success through experiential-based learning solutions through a variety of innovative + engaging experiences, we partner with organizations to help humans human better together for organizational success. We know from science that engagement is driven by biological factors, triggered by core fears. We believe that we know "what" we are supposed to do, but when our fears are triggered, we often revert to avoiding hard conversations and decisions. We get comfortable and maybe even a little...BORED. Workplaces often see this reflected in really nice & great people that struggle to navigate past meeting group think, lack of initiative and innovation, little follow through, low engagement and contribution to solutions, turnover, and ultimately, lack of significant progress. If you are ready for REAL change to happen, that's really scary for a lot of people. The goal isn't to change each other, it is to change together. So here's what we will do together: 1. Learn the science surrounding the core fears that all humans share that hold us back from our greatest potential. 2. Build frameworks that create and communicate a consistent culture of psychological safety and clarity surrounding success and failure so that your team ALWAYS wins. 3. Integrate low-stress ongoing experiences to communicate, practice, and grow your team's skills to empower their ability to navigate fear and change with confidence. We can't wait to help you put the FUN in FUNctional as you build a stronger, more agile, better version of your team. Visit www.boredroombreakouts.com to see how you can empower an unstoppable team that thrives through change and drives business growth.

  • Compassion is one of the biggest contributors to reducing stress. As tensions continue to rise, compassion is going to be one of the most effective ways to: -Combat workdays lost due to stress (550 million per year) -Medical cost due to stress (Chronic workplace stress is linked to 80% of visits and is closely linked to health problems ranging from metabolic syndrome to cardiovascular disease and mortality) -Negate some of the $1 Trillion in lost productivity due to depression and anxiety (according to the World Health Organization as well as other studies) The reason that Compassion is so hard (and resulting in a rising crisis of unmet emotional needs) is because compassion often means feeling the pain or suffering of another. Some managers and leaders report compassion burnout. Some managers don't know how to navigate it at all. The key is knowing that compassion doesn't require you to FIX anything, come up with a solve, or provide earth shattering wisdom. It requires your sincere presence, establishing a relationship as equals - as humans- and holding space for another's experience even if it's different from our own and is hard to understand. Burn out comes from feeling that if you listen, it becomes your responsibility. Many times, humans just need someone to listen, to feel seen and heard, and to know that they're supported as an individual. Managers repeatedly report higher levels of stress than individual contributors. This tells me that leadership absolutely needs to make sure that they're showing compassion to and supporting those they're responsible for as the managers continue their important work. How are you showing compassion to your managers this week? How are you encouraging compassion to be shown to individual contributors? #leadership #productivity #employeeengagement #compassion #brenebrown #boredroombreakouts Sarah Line

Last week we wrapped up another incredible CEO Retreat - this time in the British Virgin Islands! ?? We traded in our desks for a catamaran with 13 amazing leaders. We focused on leadership strategies and growth opportunities—both personal and professional. Each morning began with intensive workshops, allowing everyone to take a step back from the daily grind and focus on leading with impact. Leaving the afternoons for pure adventure: exploring islands, taking on new challenges, and building lifelong connections. Big thank you to everyone who made this trip so special: Casey Clark, Autumn Joyce, Mandy Burage, Rudy Franco, MBA, Suzanne Newton, Karen Malm, Reva Minkoff, Natajia Miller, Michael Dey, Sheri Nash, Steve Scott, Ben Early, and Steve Weigel. And, of course, Boredroom Breakouts for making it all happen!

  • As the world continues to evolve at a faster pace than ever before, workplaces that want to thrive must equip leaders to rely less on concrete information in order to make decisions. Because we are in unprecedented times at an accelerating pace, many won't have the luxury of time. This will require a high capacity for adaptability, understanding change, and building a highly engaged and trusting team that won't crumble when things go wrong. Those who know how to fail and how to adapt, will pull ahead of those who are still stuck in fear. Beyond traditional leadership training, experience-based learning unlocks new dimensions within participants to develop and enhance leadership capabilities to support what today’s leaders face. During our learning sessions, we will share the science behind building trust among teams, what it takes to help teams thrive through challenges and unknowns, learn the science behind employee engagement, and participate in hands-on activities that stimulate your own personal and professional growth alongside of other leaders. These experiences create a strong foundation for collaborative leadership, where leaders learn a new level of self-awareness, perspective, and tools to navigate forward in new and powerful ways. If you want to lead in the future, you have to train your leaders differently. While you might not have the exact situation to prepare for, you can create frameworks and practice the art of navigating unknowns, using each others strengths, and failing together so that you can quickly recalibrate. This is where we are developing leaders differently than anyone else. Science shows that you learn up to 90% better through experiences, and it has the highest rate of transference to real-life application. And now you can send your leaders on an experience that is both meaningful on a personal level, and powerful on a professional level! Join our upcoming Thailand Leadership Development experience January 26th-February 4th, 2025. • Uncertainty, decision paralysis, and impulse action is at an all time high for leaders as they face more variables and situational dependencies than ever before. Burnout, overwhelm, and stress are causing serious damage to strategic outcomes, healthy culture, and mental health. Instead of spinning your wheels trying to prepare for every possibility and exacerbating these stressors, work with your team on the following items to develop an unstoppable team that can handle anything: 1. Establish and maintain trust: before going into battle and during times of retreat, captains had to rally their troops. In today's modern world, this looks equates to helping them hold the tension and the unknowns through strong trust and vision for a better future. Trust is comprised of credibility, reliability, and transparency. As a leader, are you staying credible to your expertise? Are you investing in your own growth? Are you showing up for the people that you need to in a consistent way? Are you being open with communication or are you shutting down? Are you sharing what the next step is and rallying them for it? 2. Strengthen your team collaboration: you must break down any silos or previous ways of working separately and focus on the way each of you uniquely brings diverse and effective solutions for the greater good. Start practicing with your team in smaller ways outside of the normal everyday chaos. This should be a top priority for every leadership team. Stop making excuses or thinking you're "fine". What you're doing now will magnify both positive and negative. 3. Start practicing creativity, adaptability, and staying agile. These skills are not just feel good terms. These skills will make the difference in how resilient your team is, how you solve problems that your competitors are not, and how you thrive as other businesses die. Start prioritizing creativity. Start celebrating thinking differently. While we have incredible stress and challenges on the horizon, we also have opportunity to do things that have never been done before. If you need help developing an unstoppable team, reach out to us to get strategic and creative about the way you develop your leadership teams! #adaptability #agile #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #softskills #softskilldevelopment #resilience #growth #growthmindset #opportunity #workforcedevelopment

  • Most of us know what we're "supposed to do". But too often, we revert to old patterns or the way we've always done things. Why? Our workplaces, as well as society, are all set up to preach success - which requires risk - but we don't practice it or know how to handle it. Especially as a team! Our brains are programmed to avoid pain based on previous experiences, so we need to create new experiences to help it learn how to develop new skills that kick in, even when the pressure is on! Teams that practice are more successful - so let's practice trying new things and taking risks... but let's make it fun and engaging! We partner with companies to change the way that your people - and teams - learn by pairing information with exciting experiences to transform head knowledge into action, delivering real life solutions to organizations! If you're looking to breathe new life into your team, push yourselves to achieve new goals, and to do it in a way that brings your team closer together, then consider us at Boredroom Breakouts as your solution! We partner with organizations to bring single day, multi-day, or continuous creative workforce development solutions. From developing soft skills like adaptability, resilience, and empathy, to building frameworks for leadership to navigate challenges for long term success, you can build trust and strong teams like never before! • Have you been fooled by a “Faux Go”? This is when your team says they agree, but think and act differently, resulting in mediocre - or no - progress. It can incredibly frustrating - and you're not alone because many leaders and teams struggle with this. Lack of trust, group think, and unwillingness to risk failure dominate meetings, leaving you spinning your wheels, holding the same meeting over and over again for months or even years. BUT if you learn what fears hold people back from contributing honestly, taking risk, and being accountable for results, it’s easy to help your team use challenges to conquer new territory! We don’t just tell you about this - we create experiences so you can all learn and grow together WHILE having fun and building memories together. Visit www.boredroombreakouts.com to learn more and to schedule your skill developing workshop or team building event with us! #teambuilding #softskills #softskilldevelopment #communication #trust #engagement #employeeengagement #accountability #leadership #innovation #leadershipdevelopment #scienceandfun #boredroombreakouts
