Chicago-based artist Laleh Motlagh found art at a young age in Iran. Three decades later, she uses different mediums to explore her identity as an Iranian woman. Reporter Tara Mobasher spoke with Motlagh about her art and connection to her roots.

Decades after the Islamic Revolution, Iranian women have experienced an increasingly stricter way of life. Their rights were narrowed as the government imposed restrictions on clothes, social gatherings and public interactions between men and women. Reporter Tara Mobasher spoke with Iranian women of different generations to hear about their experiences either being raised during the Revolution or having to acclimate to it.
