Since then, she has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, including Pen Bay Medical Center and the Maine Center for Integrated Rehab. Cristina holds a full-time position as a school nurse while providing coverage for Borden Cottage on a regular basis, and she will be cross trained to assist in the new withdrawal management program at Borden Cottage. Cristina enjoys helping residents who are in early recovery. "Being from this area, which was number one for opiate addiction in the US per capita in the early 2000s, I have witnessed the havoc that this disease wreaks on family and friends." When asked what she enjoys about working at Borden Cottage, Cristina replied "I love the interdisciplinary approach and the individualized treatment that Borden Cottage provides to its residents. The whole feel of the grounds, the team and everything in between is very therapeutic." When not at work, Cristina enjoys going to the beach, time with her family and thrift shopping. We are so grateful to have Cristina on the Borden Cottage team!
