We had the pleasure of celebrating with Midland Power Cooperative and their Board today during a ???? ribbon cutting for their new warehouse . As many will remember, their previous warehouse—less than two years old—was lost to a fire in 2023. Thankfully, no one was injured, and everything that was lost was replaceable. Safety has always been Midland’s top priority, and they were grateful that the damage was limited to things, not people. From that loss came opportunity. The new warehouse was thoughtfully redesigned to be even more effective. It includes a 75x100 space for inventory and a dedicated mechanics bay. With this space, Midland can order and store larger quantities of inventory, allowing them to distribute supplies quickly to their four service centers—especially during major weather events—so they can restore power as fast as possible. Midland Power Cooperative serves 17 counties across Iowa, and we’re proud to have them investing right here in Boone County ??. Our Red Coat Ambassadors had a clearly wonderful time touring Boone Vision Ctr this week!?? Office Manager Jacklyn Scheuermann, gave us a behind-the-scenes look at their Story Street location, where they’ve been helping Boone see clearly for nearly 25 years! Led by Dr. Casey Roelfs and Dr. Kyle Anderson, the expert team provides everything from emergency eye care and comprehensive exams to contact lens fittings, diabetic eye exams, and pre- and post-op care for cataracts and laser vision correction. They serve patients of all ages and offer one of the area’s best selections of stylish frames—something for every face!
