Look who won the bid for the new Overlook Walk cafe!!! Who better to be in this space than Boon Boona Coffee ?? When you mix THE best coffee and community it equals the best spot in the city! Not to mention the stunning views! S/o to the great Harriet Slater who worked on the proposal with the Boon Boona team to bring this to life!

Something special is brewing friends!!! For the past year, we've been working diligently - Today, I am excited to share that Boon Boona Coffee has won the bid for the Overlook Walk Cafe! Overlook Walk is more than just a new public space—it’s a reimagined connection between Downtown Seattle and the Waterfront, built where the Viaduct once stood. A place where people can stroll through, and gather, all while taking in one of the best views in the city. This wouldn't have been possible without the dedication and vision of Thomas Goldstein, Anne Katahira, Chloe Hatfield, Robert Villalobos of TGA, Harriet Slater and Doug Baldwin Jr of Vault89 - and the entire Boon Boona Team! Grateful! We can't wait to welcome you in - stay tuned for more on this new location!

From Day 1, Portrait Coffee has asked: What might it look like to reimagine the world of specialty coffee? This month feels like a momentum shift forward with the Black is Beautiful Coffee Box launch, a collection that celebrates the craftsmanship and innovation of Black-led coffee roasters from across the United States. Featuring hand-selected coffees from Three Keys Coffee, Boon Boona Coffee, cxffeeblack, Eight50 Coffee, & Portrait Coffee, this box is a tribute to Black artistry in specialty coffee. It's our Anniversary!!! We’re filled with gratitude and excitement as we celebrate 6 wonderful years since opening our first café in Renton and 13 incredible years since starting our business journey. None of this would have been possible without your support—thank you for being part of our story! What began as a spark of inspiration from a trip back in 2011 to Asmara, Eritrea has grown into something we’re so proud of today. In 2024, we saw our cafés thrive, thanks to our amazing Managers who lead with care and determination, and our Baristas who bring passion and expertise to every cup. Our Roasting Team also reached new heights, opening a larger roasting facility and achieving USDA Organic certification—huge milestones for us! Of course, last year wasn’t without its challenges. Rising costs and the closure of many small businesses have been sobering reminders of the times we’re navigating. But as we step into 2025, we remain optimistic and determined. This year, we’re committed to strengthening our bonds with our community and fellow small businesses, building resilience together. We’re excited for what’s ahead—there’s so much to look forward to! Let’s make 2025 a year of connection, support, and celebration with a cup of Boon Boona in your hand <3

We're so excited to announce the launch of our USDA Organic certified coffees - we are starting off with offering these tasty coffees exclusively at all PCC Community Markets!! @pccmarkets "PCC began as a community of people committed to each other and to good food. Our priorities haven’t changed." It's for this reason we couldn't be more excited to find our coffee on their shelves! We have some fun collaborative events in the works also ??
