🚀 We love visiting our members in their labs and offices to see their work up close. Last week we were in the Rocky Mountains around Denver. 🤝 Many thanks to our Corporate Partner Lockheed Martin for an out-of-this-world visit to your space facility. We were also energized by seeing local Corporate Members – Boom Supersonic, Blue Origin, and BAE Systems – and visiting Advanced Space. School was in session – we spent valuable time with student branches at University of Colorado Boulder and Colorado School of Mines. 👏 Thank you to Advanced Space for hosting the reception, bringing together the AIAA Rocky Mountain Section for a packed night of learning and networking. 🏅 Also congrats to Gene Dionne on receiving an AIAA Sustained Service Award—thanks for all you do for AIAA! #AIAA #CAPSTONE

We’re thrilled to share that the AIAA has selected Boom Staff Scientist in Applied Aerodynamics David Lazzara to be a member of the Class of 2025 AIAA Associate Fellows. “The AIAA Associate Fellows personify the innovation that drives our industry forward.” - AIAA CEO Dan Dumbacher David was chosen for outstanding contributions to high-fidelity aerodynamic shape optimization and MDAO (Multi-disciplinary Analysis and Optimization) for superior aerodynamic and noise performance of unconventional transonic and supersonic flight vehicles. David, along with the other 2025 Fellows, is contributing to the future of aerospace–a future that looks a little bit faster with supersonic travel.
