关于我们
BookSpring builds early literacy in children and families through healthcare, education, and the community. Our vision is a world of families reading and succeeding together. BookSpring works through schools, libraries, childcare centers, and clinics to distribute books to low income children from birth through age 12. We also provide parent engagement and professional development programs for medical personnel and educators throughout the Austin community to encourage best practices in reading aloud activities between adults and children. ReBook, our gently used book program, collects gently used children's books from the public and partners with dozens of local organizations to get high quality, developmentally appropriate children's books into the hands of kids! It's #AmplifyAustinDay! Please join me in giving to causes that you believe in to support our local community. Here's who I'm supporting: ?? Saint Louise House: dedicated to the success of women and their children moving from homelessness to healthy independent lives (where I serve on the board) ?? Mama Sana Vibrant Woman: making birth safer for black and brown communities in Central Texas through free holistic pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support to people of color (where my friend Cherelle VanBrakle, MEd works!) ?? Austin Ed Fund: supporting Austin Independent School District by developing and stewarding meaningful public and private partnerships that promote innovation and support opportunities that prepare Austin ISD students for college, career, and life (a way to support ALL students in our district) ?? BookSpring: launching children into a world of reading by building early literacy in children and families through healthcare, education, and the community (where I was a former board member) ?? Black Mamas Village - ATX: dedicated to creating a thriving, supportive community for Black mothers in Austin (an organization that is a close partner to many other organizations I love and support) Who are you giving to this year?
??? #AmplifyAustinDay is finally here! Visit AmplifyATX.org NOW to take part by 6PM March 6th.
