Old National Bank has launched its “Choose Your Charity” campaign, giving voters in Tennessee the opportunity to award local nonprofits with as much as $7,500 each. Nonprofits must be a registered 501(c)3 organization to share in $190,000 of available funds provided by Old National to support Tennessee’s nonprofit community. Leading vote recipients from each Old National Tennessee banking center will receive $7,500 to help support their work in our communities, and the overall top vote recipient will receive an additional $25,000, for a total of $32,500. Participants can cast their vote once per 24-hour period by visiting oldnational.com/CYC until the contest closes on Feb. 28, 2025. Voters do not need to have a business relationship with Old National to participate in the contest. “This is our way of saying thank you to the nonprofits that serve our community,” said Steve Cook, Southeast Market President. “We have seen first-hand the impact these funds can have on our community, so we encourage everyone to vote for their favorite charity!”

The Book'em #BookMobile Bus has visited us at least twice so far this year! First they were an exciting part of Explore! Community School's game night and then Stratford STEM Magnet School's Cayce Cookout at #MarthaOBryanCenter. Book’em's mission is to create a more literate Nashville and ignite children’s passion for reading through book ownership and enthusiastic volunteers. The Book Mobile came about when Parnassus Books donated the bus to Book'em in 2022, and they've been unstoppable ever since. In fact, they envision a future in Nashville where all children own books and know first-hand the joy and value of reading, and we can easily get on board with that! We thank them for coming and can't wait until the next time they're here!

Book'em, an organization that is championing early literacy and education, announced at their 35th anniversary breakfast that an astounding $95,000 was raised to further their mission! We believe promoting literacy and transforming lives through the power of books is essential in building a healthier, more educated society. We are especially proud to be part of their book bus initiative, which is helping provide countless children with access to stories that will foster a lifelong love of reading.
