Happy Friday!! However, Friday may not be that happy if some scum bucket steals your identity! Given the recent massive data breach by National Public Data where 2.9 million records were stolen by a hacker group, including social security numbers, we wanted to share a helpful and easy tip that you can do in order to protect yourself: a credit freeze. A credit freeze is a way to restrict access to your credit report, which essentially would prevent any scammer from opening a new line of credit or other type of account using your information. The trick is that you need to do the freeze with each of the 3 major credit bureaus to ensure you're protected across the board. These are Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. The downside is that you'll need to create an account with each bureau in order to do this, if you don't have one already. But it's absolutely worth it to protect your credit and ultimately, your finances! We've provided links below to help you get started and please reach out if you have any questions or need some help! Happy Wednesday!! Our regular followers may be wondering where we disappeared to these last couple days. Well, while we appreciate the concern, we've decided to take a different approach to our social media moving forward. Since we launched our social media accounts back in August of 2023, we've tried to post every day and managed to do so with the exception of a couple week's worth of days. We're thrilled we were able to do that, but we've reached the point now where we don't think we can continue to bring value to our followers through daily posts. Cramming in content just for the sake of a post isn't serving anyone, and that's the whole point, right? We're not here to entertain - although we do like our posts to be entertaining as well as informative - but instead are here to be informative and value-adding. So moving forward we will be retiring our daily and monthly themes, and will instead be solely focused on posting strategically and intentionally to provide you with useful and actionable tips to improve your business, finances, and ideally everything else that those things feed into. However, if you're a business owner, you know that being ready to hit the ground running on Monday is always a good practice to ensure a productive week ahead. That's why we have #SetItUpSunday, our weekly planning and scheduling day. This specific Sunday is not only the beginning of the week, but also the month ahead! As you'll recall from yesterday's post, August is all about "The Check In" where we will be revisiting many of the things we've done while building and tweaking our business' processes and procedures to see how and where things can be improved. So while yesterday was about the strategy, today is about the planning and execution! So let's get those tasks listed, and most importantly, budget time to get them taken care of. Create a task and block out time for it in your calendar. If you don't, it may not get done, as we're all painfully aware from when we've neglected to be intentional with our tasks. Need some help? Welcome to August, our month all about "The Check In"!!! This month we will be reviewing all the things we've done while systematically building our business, from creating systems, processes and goals, to testing and delegating. We'll see how everything is going, what needs improved, and then figure out an action plan to make said improvements! So an ideal first step on this day dedicated to strategy is to prioritize which parts of your business you want to check in on first. If you're service-based, maybe that is client experience. It's the final #TaskTacklingTuesday of July! As our regular followers are aware, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are our meeting-heavy days of the week. We intentionally try and load up meetings over these two days to allow space on Monday to start the week strong and on Thursday to wrap up and finish the week strong. Of course, we sometimes have to take meetings on Mondays and Thursdays (and even Fridays ??), but it's something we try to avoid as much as possible. Why? Because meetings take up a lot of time! If it's a value-adding meeting (which they all should be to maximize your efficiency), then it requires adequate time to prepare and then capture/execute on any action items. And why are we talking about this today? Because next month is all about the Check In, which will likely require meetings, and which needs to be accounted for when planning. So today's task is to ensure you not only have dedicated time set aside for meetings so that your regular day-to-day duties don't suffer, but also that you have sufficient time planned for over the coming month! #Meetings #Planning #Efficiency #Delegate #Schedule
