Teaching students to build AI agents isn’t about coding; it’s about problem-solving and realizing that AI isn’t just a tool to use—it’s a skill to master. My hope is to shift the narrative from passive adaptation and basic prompting to empowering the next generation ??     Can AI be a catalyst for critical thinking? Examining the role of AI in higher education,?Jeanne Beatrix Law, PhD?challenges common?assumptions about AI's impact on cognitive development. Her preliminary research reveals that, when used strategically, AI actually strengthens critical thinking abilities. The numbers speak volumes: 89% of students showed improved critical thinking skills through intentional AI integration. This suggests that AI isn't diminishing our cognitive capabilities—it's helping us redirect our mental energy toward deeper problem-solving and analysis.     Doan Winkel, Chair of John Carroll University's Entrepreneurship Center and Collaborative AI Leadership Council Member at BoodleBox, recently published a piece with ChatGPT for Education highlighting his approach to reimagining traditional role-playing exercises using custom bots. To simulate authentic customer interactions, Doan developed custom GPTs that allow students to practice with personas tailored to their target audience. Students are able to receive immediate feedback and feel more confident in their skills. Inspired by Doan's process, we used BoodleBox's Custom Bot builder to create?a Student Budget Management Tool (aka CashBuddy).
