Today, we celebrate #WomensEqualityDay, commemorating the 103rd anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which GRANTED WOMEN THE RIGHT TO VOTE. This historic achievement was a pivotal moment in the fight for equality, but it was just the beginning. From the suffragists to today's trailblazers, women have made INCREDIBLE STRIDES. It’s INSPIRING to look back at a time when women couldn't vote and compare it to today, with a woman serving as VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. But despite this progress, we still have A LONG WAY TO GO: ?? Women currently earn an average of 17% less than men globally. ?? Women’s workforce representation remains below men’s across nearly every industry and economy, with women accounting for 42% of the global workforce, but only 31.7% of senior leaders, and less than 25% of C-suite roles. ?? Women spend about five hours a day caregiving, while men spend about 1 hour and 23 minutes. At this rate, the gender gap in unpaid care isn’t expected to close for 209 years. ?? According to the World Economic Forum, the gender pay gap is narrowing, but the collective rate of progress has slowed down. Without a bold push forward, it will take 134 years to reach full parity.
