As we wrap up our Veterans Day series, we are honored to highlight the inspiring story of Jake Webb, a U.S. Navy veteran and an invaluable member of the Bone Dry Roofing family. Jake served from 2012 to 2016 aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, playing a critical role during Operation Inherent Resolve. His team conducted airstrikes and supported coalition forces combating ISIS in Iraq and Syria. Reflecting on his service, Jake recalls his time in the Navy as transformative, broadening his perspective and teaching him lifelong lessons in leadership, teamwork, and striving for excellence. Jake’s journey to the military was driven by a deep desire to make his family proud. After his mother faced a life-threatening illness, he felt compelled to take his life in a direction that reflected her strength and resilience. That decision not only shaped his future but also instilled in him a profound commitment to integrity and purpose. During his service, Jake learned the value of meticulous preparation and accountability. Working on an aircraft carrier, where everyone relied on each other to keep operations running smoothly, shaped his approach to teamwork and leadership. As Jake says, “There is no 911 in the middle of the ocean.” That experience taught him to stay steady under pressure and lead by example—values he carries with him every day at Bone Dry Roofing. One of Jake’s most cherished memories from his time in the Navy was traveling the world, stepping onto foreign soil, and discovering the shared humanity that transcends cultural differences. Those experiences not only enriched his life but also deepened his appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy at home. At Bone Dry Roofing, Jake’s dedication to excellence shines through in everything he does. He takes pride in providing services that truly matter, ensuring families and businesses are protected. “The team here is the engine driving the positive impact we have on the communities we serve,” Jake shares. To young people considering the military, Jake offers this advice: “Do your research. A military career can be incredibly rewarding, but take the time to understand the path you’re choosing—it will shape your future in ways you can’t imagine.” Jake, thank you for your service and for the integrity, leadership, and passion you bring to Bone Dry Roofing. We are proud to have you on our team and grateful for the example you set.

Today, we're proud to honor Joshua Edmunds, a former U.S. Navy Nuclear Reactor Operator and a valued member of Bone Dry Roofing. Joshua served from 2009 to 2012 aboard the USS Harry S. Truman. Though his ship was in drydock during his service, his role was vital—maintaining the nuclear reactors that power the Navy's aircraft carriers and submarines. Inspired by his grandfather and pastor, Joshua joined the Navy seeking more for his life and was excited to serve his country. The lessons Joshua learned in the military—attention to detail, organization, and the power of teamwork—continue to shape his approach to work and leadership today. "From day one in boot camp, you're always a team. If someone needs help, you help them, or the team fails," Joshua says. This understanding of unity and shared purpose has become the foundation of his career. For Joshua, Veterans Day holds deep meaning as a day to honor the sacrifices made by those who have served. He reflects on the profound sacrifices veterans make: being away from loved ones, putting themselves in harm's way, and, for some, making the ultimate sacrifice. "We owe all the freedoms we have to veterans," Joshua says with gratitude. After his time in the Navy, Joshua used the GI Bill to earn his Bachelor's in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting, a step made possible by his military service. Today, he thrives at Bone Dry Roofing, where he values the camaraderie and dedication of his team, helping the company grow and provide top-quality services to customers. Joshua, thank you for your service and for the dedication you bring every day. We're honored to have you on our team and grateful for the example you set.

As we continue to celebrate our veteran team members this week, we're proud to highlight Kyle Gregg, a Marine Corps veteran and a valuable part of the Bone Dry Roofing team. Inspired by his father and family members who served, Kyle joined the Marines and spent four active years, including a humanitarian mission to Pakistan in 2010 & 2015. It was a transformative experience, exposing him to a beautiful culture and lifelong friendships he cherishes to this day. Kyle's time in the military taught him invaluable skills in organization, communication, and teamwork—qualities he brings to every project here at Bone Dry. "The military taught me to never start a task without fully understanding the details, the team roles, and the plan," he says. His leadership approach is all about leading by example and showing his team how it's done. For Kyle, Veterans Day is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who served, past and present, and to honor the bond they share. We're grateful for Kyle's dedication, both in service to his country and now as part of our Bone Dry family. His love for problem-solving and working outdoors, along with his commitment to getting each job done right, makes him a true asset to our team. Thank you, Kyle, for your service and for the heart you bring to Bone Dry Roofing. We're proud to have you with us! Stay tuned as we continue sharing the stories of the incredible veterans who make up our team.

Today, we’re honored to introduce Denny Strickland. Inspired by his father’s 30-year military career, Denny joined the U.S. Navy with a desire to follow in those footsteps and to make a meaningful impact on others. He served a special 4-year rotation in airport construction, where he learned the value of preparation, discipline, and teamwork. Reflecting on his service, Denny describes boot camp as a life-changing experience. Before enlisting, he admits he didn’t fully grasp the depth of discipline or the power of teamwork. He arrived at boot camp unfocused, unsure of himself, and unaware of the dedication it required. But over 16 intense weeks, he was transformed. The rigorous training taught him accountability, perseverance, and a level of focus he hadn’t known before. Graduating from boot camp became one of the proudest moments of his life, as he realized he was no longer the same person who had started. The bonds he built with his fellow recruits were unlike anything he’d experienced, a brotherhood forged through shared sacrifice and mutual support. For him, Veterans Day is a time to honor the sacrifices and accomplishments of all who served, a commitment to integrity that guides him even now. Today at Bone Dry Roofing, Denny brings that same commitment to helping others succeed. In his role, he mentors young team members, guiding them to reach their goals and advance their careers. “I enjoy helping people become a better version of themselves,” he says, seeing his work as a way to pass on the values he learned in the Navy. Denny, thank you for your service and for the dedication you bring to our team. We’re grateful to have you with us. Stay tuned as we continue to celebrate the veterans who make Bone Dry Roofing a place of honor, teamwork, and growth.

Veteran Spotlight: Honoring Anthony Barham ???? Today, we’re proud to share the story of Anthony Barham, a valued member of our Bone Dry Roofing team and a dedicated U.S. Army veteran. Anthony served for eight years with the Department of Defense, completing multiple tours overseas, including one in Korea and six deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Driven by a love of travel and a family history of military service, Anthony embraced a path that would profoundly shape him and, ultimately, our team. During his service, Anthony experienced the sacrifices that many veterans know all too well. One memory that stands out is missing the birth of his only daughter by just two days. After two precious weeks at home, he returned to Iraq, not seeing her again until she was 18 months old and taking her first steps. These missed moments, shared by so many in the armed forces, reflect the deep personal costs of service. Since joining Bone Dry Roofing, Anthony has continued to exemplify values of discipline, teamwork, and unwavering support for his colleagues. Known for his problem-solving skills and attention to detail, he thrives in our fast-paced environment, where he’s trusted and respected by the team. For Anthony, Veterans Day is not only a time to honor those who have served but also to remember the families who make sacrifices along the way. Thank you, Anthony, for your service, resilience, and dedication—both in uniform and here at Bone Dry Roofing. We’re grateful to have you on our team. Stay tuned as we continue to highlight the veterans who bring their courage and commitment to Bone Dry every day.

Recently, our Athens team at Bone Dry Roofing was honored to partner with BOMA Georgia for CRE CARES Day. In a powerful day of giving back, commercial real estate professionals and service providers from BOMA Georgia gathered at Decatur Cooperative Ministry Incorporated (DCM) to make a meaningful impact. From early morning until noon, volunteers worked together on essential projects, including landscaping, drainage improvements, irrigation setup, cleaning, organizing, roofing, and minor construction efforts. Partnering with DCM allowed us to support their mission of helping families overcome homelessness and achieve stability. Together, we strengthened the foundation of a nonprofit dedicated to providing safe, hopeful futures for those in need. Roofing Corp of America Chad Collins #BoneDryRoofing #GiveBack

Our Bone Dry Roofing team had an amazing day sponsoring the UGA Ed Hoard Memorial Scholarship Tournament! We’re proud to support this inspiring event, which was founded in 2012 to provide financial aid to graduates of First Tee programs across Georgia. The First Tee initiative introduces the game of golf and its values to young people, fostering growth and opportunities. The Ed Hoard Memorial First Tee Scholarship Fund, passionately continued by Ed’s wife, Kathy, offers need-based scholarships to help First Tee graduates in Georgia achieve their dreams of attending UGA. We’re honored to play a part in such a meaningful cause. Here’s to building bright futures, on and off the course! ??
