We are thrilled to share that we raised an incredible $10,054.73 for the Center for Child Protection, the BOMA Austin selected charity for 2024! Last month, our very own Vanessa M. Vercher, RPA?and Sam Whiteside had the opportunity to represent BOMA Austin meet with Police Chief Lisa Davis, Chief of Staff Robin Henderson, and Executive Staffing Lieutenant Carey Chaudoir of the Austin Police Department. Their discussion focused on strengthening the partnership between BOMA Austin and APD, particularly now that the new police contract has been signed. Key topics of their discussion included: ? Ways BOMA Austin can actively support APD ? Keeping the dialogue open through luncheons and speaking events ? Creative advocacy for CRE issues and political candidates, especially since many of our members don’t vote in Travis County ? Partnering with APD to share security reports and incident updates impacting our members' buildings We are excited to continue collaborating and finding meaningful ways to support both APD and the commercial real estate industry!
