?? This year’s International Women’s Day theme was #AccelerateAction to achieve gender equality. Did you know that at the current rate of progress, the World Economic Forum predicts that it will take roughly 5 generations for women to achieve full gender parity? That won’t be until the year 2158. ???In continuation of our celebration of Women’s History Month, we’re spotlighting another employee featured on our International Women’s Day panel, Greenwich Avenue Store Manager, Kate George. ?? Kate’s advice on this for future generations: “Stop waiting for permission or an invitation. If you feel like you should be in the room, get yourself in that room. You don't need to be validated by other people.” ??? 15 years ago, Kate’s mother gifted her a mug with the slogan of the Suffragettes’ movement, “Votes for Women.” Ever since, she’s used it daily to remind herself of the power of female relationships. She shared, “[The Suffragettes] were able to mobilize and come together as a driving force for change. It's a very powerful sentiment, this collection of voices that can change the future—the connection that we can all have together.” She’s continued the tradition, now gifting the same mug to each of her daughters. Thank you, Kate, for your inspiring words on such an important topic.

?? On March 7, we held a panel discussion marking International Women’s Day and the start of Women’s History Month. Moderated by our Senior Brand Manager, Jennifer Eisner three women in varied roles within Boll & Branch spoke on their experiences and shared their advice for overcoming feelings of inadequacy in the workplace and beyond. ??? Today we’re spotlighting our first speaker, Customer Experience Associate, J’Mi Cassagnol ?? Her advice for future generations: “Never minimize your voice, because what you have to say matters. Somebody needs to be that voice for people that aren't at the same place as you.” ?? She uses art as a medium to not only express herself and push through hard times in her own life, but help other young women work through their own insecurities. She shared, “I was able to express myself through a pencil more than verbally. It’s been really nice to know that I've been able to help other people and myself through my art.” Special thanks to J'mi for being so willing to share her personal experiences with us! ??

Celebrating big news today! ?? We’re honored to share that our Founder and Chief Product Officer, Missy Tannen, has been named to Inc. Magazine's 2025 Female Founder 500—an incredible recognition of her vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to create transformational experiences for our customer. Missy’s spot on this list of the most dynamic women entrepreneurs in America solidifies what we are inspired by every day: Missy’s exceptional standards. This past year alone, Missy led us in: ? Elevating craftsmanship—introducing our most exceptional collection, Summit Supima, to the world at the Met Gala. ? Innovating with purpose—introducing another new fabrication, our instant bestseller Signature Vintage Washed, as well as our industry-first transparency platform, Origin Track. ? Growing with intention—opening two profitable stores with a service-first mission. ? Giving back where it matters—supporting thousands of families in crisis & donating $600,000+ to LA residents impacted by wildfires through our Helping from Home initiative. Congratulations, Missy! To officially kick off 2025, our company-wide off-site brought the entire Dream Team together at Hudson House in Jersey City. Set in front of the incredible NYC skyline, our corporate & retail teams spent the day building deeper relationships and gaining better understandings of every aspect of our business. Here are just some of our favorite moments: ?? Team leads shared invaluable customer insights, defined our goals for the year ahead, and discussed our brand & product vision moving forward. ??? We spotlighted all nine of our Store Managers, hearing each of their first-hand experiences and recommendations to continue elevating our brand focus on unreasonable hospitality. ?? We assembled 200 kits of our bath towels and other essentials, including a note of encouragement, to be distributed to young people arriving at Covenant House International, a charity providing supportive services to youth facing homelessness. Our Helping From Home mission, to provide the feeling of the comfort and safety of home to those who need it most, supports Covenant House’s belief that no youth should ever be without a home. ?? We ended the day with our creative team premiering a first look at our newest brand campaign debuting this spring (stay tuned for the final product!). Most importantly, the day highlighted the connective power of being together and the impact of fostering relationships across our entire organization, reminding everyone that there are no small roles at Boll & Branch. Here’s to another amazing year. ??

Last month, our amazing Product Design Team led by Chief Product Officer Missy Tannen spent a week in Europe attending the very best industry trade fairs, meeting with factory partners, and forecasting trends for upcoming collections. ???? Their first stop was to Germany for Heimtextil, the biggest international trade fair for home and contract textiles. The team spent quality time with 15 of our valued partners and sourced inspiration for textile innovations from around the world. ???? Then it was off to France for MAISON&OBJET, the can’t-miss event of the creative home design world. They also checked out inspiring showroom displays and art installations at Paris Design Week’s Deco Off. With trend-spotting their main focus, they took note of the mix of colors, patterns, and textures flooding the streets of Paris. ???? With Portugal as their final stop, the team soaked up inspiration from the city’s architecture, colors, and iconic tiles. They also spent time with our existing partners in the region, touring factories and seeing our products being crafted. Thank you Dream Teamers Lainey Hollis, Patricia Bomeny, Rebecca L., and Kerry Moser for bringing so much knowledge and inspiration back home for our team. We can’t wait to see the extraordinary designs that come next.

How do you develop the confidence to found a luxury brand and lead product design yourself? For our Founder and Chief Product Officer Missy Tannen, she turned to her past experiences as a 3rd grade teacher and stay-at-home mom. Speaking to Sharon Macey on the Mom to MORE? podcast, Missy shares how “volunteering, being on committees, managing time, juggling different priorities and being present for [her] kids” and more all contributed to her success in overcoming imposter syndrome. Additionally, Missy’s background in education and keen interest in math and science drove her to learn everything she could about the origin of her own sheets—inspiring her to build Boll & Branch’s entire supply chain from scratch. How can allowing yourself to be vulnerable actually help you achieve your dreams—some of which you may never have thought possible? Our Founder and Chief Product Officer Missy Tannen shares her story on this week’s episode of the?Woman Inc. Podcast?with?Jenna Todey. Missy says, “When you're trying to start something or dreaming about your next step, it can feel overwhelming and daunting. For us, it started simple, it was just my husband and myself and then our Dream Team grew over time. I did have to be vulnerable and just had to focus on one thing at a time."
