Neutral host networks are greener and more cost-effective than traditional 5G networks. We’re excited to share the findings from a new independent study authored by ABI Research and commissioned by Boldyn Networks, that explores how neutral host networks (NHNs) are transforming the way mobile operators deliver 5G. This industry-first study reveals that NHNs are up to 47% more cost-effective and 38% greener than traditional standalone 5G deployments. NHNs provide a unique opportunity for mobile network operators to scale efficiently and lessen the challenges associated with 5G densification. With a partnership to modernize the network in all 10 residence halls on its campus in Grand Forks, UND can offload time-consuming operational tasks for IT and housing staff - while maintaining control over its IT strategy and student success on campus. Venue owners and operators know first-hand how the world is becoming ever more mobile first, whether it's making payments, searching the internet or sharing experiences with friends. People increasingly expect that their mobile phones will be connected, wherever and whenever they need them. Great mobile connectivity is a key enabler for any venue’s strategy and fan engagement. It can transform visitor experience, increase revenue and create new operational efficiencies. But ensuring consistent, strong connectivity throughout a venue can be challenging. The size and structure of venues often results in patchy and poor 4G/5G mobile coverage, without the capacity to handle the demands of large numbers of people in one location. A good Wi-Fi service can compensate and can be an important part of a venue’s connectivity mix but may struggle to completely fulfil the mobile data hungry demand of a sell-out audience. One of the largest geographical military bases in the US is getting a major upgrade. Partnering with Verizon and the US Army, we’ve added the first millimeter wave 5G small cells at Fort Cavazos. This installation will improve wireless coverage to the 215,000-acre base and provide seamless connectivity to the 60,000 soldiers and their families living there.
