Boko Hacks 2025

We are happy to announce the 1st?? , 2nd??, and 3rd?? place winners of the Boko Hacks 2025! In this hackathon, participants were provided with a pre-built web application that contained deliberate security vulnerabilities. The challenge was to: 1. Identify security flaws – Perform vulnerability assessments to uncover weaknesses such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), authentication issues, or insecure API endpoints. 2. Fix the vulnerabilities – Implement security patches to protect against common web attacks. 3. Enhance security – Go beyond just fixing issues by integrating advanced security measures like multi-factor authentication (MFA), rate limiting, or encryption. 4. Innovate – Improve the application's functionality and security with creative solutions, such as AI-based threat detection, secure authentication mechanisms, or performance optimizations. The goal was not only to secure the application but also to enhance it with innovative security solutions, helping participants develop real-world web application security skills.
