“Adventure is worthwhile.” - Amelia Earhart This morning Captain Tammie Jo Shults spoke to students at all three middle schools about her amazing aviation career. Shults, a retired Navy captain, is one of the first female fighter pilots in the U.S. Navy, breaking barriers in aviation flying the F/A-18 Hornet. After her military career, Mrs. Shults joined Southwest Airlines, where she gained national recognition for her quick actions that saved many lives. Mrs. Shults continues to fly and give back to others with the Angel Flight program. We are proud to have her in our Boerne community!

??This morning 4th and 5th grade art club students from Kendall Elementary School decorated the Kendall Country Courthouse Christmas tree with handmade ornaments! ?? Kendall County Judge Shane Stolarczyk and District Court Judge Kirsten Cohoon participated in the festivities and treated the students to a tour of the courtroom and a mini lesson on courtroom proceedings. We are grateful for our partnership with Kendall County and this annual tradition for our students!

Today our Community Leadership Academy met for its second session. Attendees heard from district leaders and toured Champion High School’s CTE programs. The group joined the Student Advisory Council for lunch and listened to a presentation on stress and time management. Thank you to Olive Insurance for sponsoring today’s lunch!
