Changing REACT ability into RESPONSE ability
关于我们
We are driven by the belief that healthcare transformation is unavoidable given the current rate of workforce turnover & burnout-based attrition. We are excited to be a key player in that redesign by focusing our efforts where we know we can have maximum positive effect: the individual. We work through the nervous system using the evidence-informed practice of embodied exploration. The foundational principle is that the body is the first to “know” what is occurring in any given situation, well before the brain catches on. The upshot is that when we don’t have insight into how our physiology typically reacts under pressure we have difficulty conducting ourselves in an aligned, calm way. Through our courses, labs & workshops we provide individuals with concrete tools that open options and create choice, changing REACTIONS into a RESPONSE. The skills & practices that we provide stand alone or enhance existing engagement, stress management, resilience & burn-out prevention programs, transforming conceptual awareness into practical experience.

REACH TOWARD SOMETHING YOU FIND ENTICING? We often look at changing ourselves from the perspective of getting rid of behavior that we don’t want: I don’t want to stay up so late, eat so much, work so much, feel this low on energy . . .? Today during a marketing meeting we were discussing how we would like to promote working toward something rather than away from something. It aligns perfectly with our approach. Often in Embodied Exploration? we use contrast to highlight what does and doesn’t feel good in our system. And then we suggest tapping into the more pleasant experience and integrating that sensation into our daily lives. Of course we learn through negative sensations and experiences. But perhaps we lean a bit too heavily on that when we’re trying to make a shift in our lives. Try developing ideas for what you want in your life. Get a sense of what it would be like to feel that way in your system and play with it. For example, if I want to not complain as much about my job, what feeling would that give me? Would my heart be lighter? My posture different? Would it change my facial expression? I would then incorporate that positive sensation into my day, working toward that feeling; even just briefly. To discover more about getting Embodied Exploration? into your system visit bodycomestomind.com and take advantage of our free resources. You can also commit to a steady diet of Embodied Exploration? by joining our “Do It Together” course in April: https://lnkd.in/gmTnPetf

Empathy and boundary fatigue are real. Where are you putting your energy? When you’re caring for someone—whether it’s a patient, a colleague, or a loved one—what’s your go-to move? Some of us throw ourselves in 100%, feeling everything as if it’s our own. That’s empathy. Others take a step back, trying not to get pulled into the emotional current. That might be considered setting boundaries. Neither approach is wrong, but both can leave you feeling drained or disconnected. So what’s the sweet spot? Compassion. Turns out, compassion is a skill—one that lets you be there for others without burning out. In this Lab, we’ll explore how to stay present and connected while keeping your energy yours, without burning yourself out in the process. Find your balance—join us next week! https://lnkd.in/enqtKxCB

Supporting others is what you do. But how do you stay open without either taking on or avoiding their discomfort? When you’re caring for someone—whether it’s a patient, a colleague, or a loved one—it’s natural to be present, to listen, to take it all in. That’s what makes you good at what you do. But sometimes, it feels like too much. The exhaustion after a long day. The emotional weight that lingers. The moments when you wonder how much more you can hold . . . even when you’ve worked hard to set your boundaries. Connecting with others doesn’t have to come at the cost of your own well-being. In this month’s Embodiment Lab, we’ll explore how we can be present and caring without either absorbing or avoiding discomfort. What opens up when you create space for the feelings to land in your neutral territory, where compassion resides? Let’s find out! Join the Lab today . . . https://lnkd.in/enqtKxCB

What are you shielding yourself from at work? There are days when sheltering within your white coat feels like the only way to survive the emotional weight of your work. Other days that same coat feels impossibly heavy — the weight of the responsibility you carry, the unspoken grief, the expectations. For many healthcare professionals, the white coat becomes a way to cope, to separate the “professional” from the personal. But what if that separation also disconnects you from the very qualities that brought you to this work — compassion, connection, and presence? This month’s Embodiment Lab is a space to safely explore these questions: ?What is your professional persona shielding you from? ?What changes when you allow yourself to become more expansive? ?How can you create space to care for yourself while caring for others? You’re not alone in this journey. Let’s explore it together. Reserve your spot today and take a step toward greater clarity and connection: https://lnkd.in/enqtKxCB

What Are You Putting On When You Go to Work? When you get into work mode, putting on your work uniform is a daily routine. It is part of your professional identity. It builds trust and project confidence and experience. Signaling your expertise without words. But have you ever realized that it can also function as a layer of protection? The white coat can help you to keep going. To bring self-confidence and a sense of strength when you feel uncertain or overwhelmed. But it can also distance you from the others you work with and hide your own feelings and emotions. This first Embodiment Lab of the new year invites you to take a closer look. What happens when you step out from behind the coat? Will another part of you show up? Together, we’ll explore what you might be hiding — from yourself — and how reconnecting can help you show up with more resilience and authenticity. Start your year in alignment. Join the Lab today!
