The full impact from California's wildfires is still unfolding,?and the need for aid has never been greater. We’re proud to support the incredible work of Mercy Chefs, a faith-based nonprofit providing full meals to victims, volunteers, and first responders in disaster zones. Their mission, “Just Go Feed People,” says it all. With boots on the ground, Mercy Chefs is making a real difference where it’s needed most. For additional support and resources, 211 LA provides vital information for wildfire-affected residents, including missing persons resources, evacuation centers, fraud prevention tips, power outages, childcare, recovery assistance, and more. As wildfires devastate Southern California, our thoughts are with those affected. Last week, California American Water’s Ventura booster pump stations, supported by Bocci's Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), proved the value of resilient infrastructure by successfully transitioning into emergency mode during a Public Safety Power Shutoff. At the American Oaks station, BESS provided uninterrupted water for 24 hours before seamlessly switching to an emergency generator. Reliable water resources are critical in emergencies like these, and we’re proud to have played a part.
