The Bob Hall family is saddened to announce the passing of Mary Evalina Summers Hall Mitchell, Owner of Bob Hall, Inc. Evalina passed away on February 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.? ? Evalina was an astute businesswoman who, after the death of her first husband, assumed the presidency of Bob Hall, Inc. which she held for 56 years. She was the first woman to be the CEO of a Maryland beverage distributorship, and one of the few women to hold this position nationwide! During her presidency, Bob Hall was recognized by Anheuser-Busch as one of their best distributors and was awarded the Anheuser-Busch Gold Medal Award for Dimensions of Excellence seven times.? ? A lifelong resident of Upper Marlboro, successful businesswoman, wife, and mother of 10, Evalina demonstrated throughout her life that refinement and gentleness, when combined with exceptional business acumen and determination, created a person of strength and courage. She will be remembered as a highly respected leader across the industry who always put her employees first, was incredibly involved in the community, and gave back to countless charitable organizations. ? Evalina left her mark on the Bob Hall family, and we are blessed to have known and loved her for many, many years. Our hearts are heavy as we miss her every day, but her legacy will continue to live on in the company she poured her heart and soul into. This Bud’s for you, Evalina.
