I am honored to share that the Baltimore City Mayor's Office of Employment Development has been named Maryland’s Apprenticeship Local Workforce Board of the Year at the 2024 Maryland Apprenticeship Awards. This recognition is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our team, who remain committed to supporting Baltimore’s residents and businesses through innovative workforce solutions. By fostering registered apprenticeships, we aim to connect job seekers with meaningful career opportunities and help to create a stronger, more equitable Baltimore. We extend our deepest gratitude to Gov. Wes Moore, Secretary of Labor Portia Wu, and the Maryland Department of Labor for this acknowledgment and for being such valued partners in this journey.
