Today, we welcomed 27 new Traffic Enforcement Officers to Baltimore City DOT! As part of our ongoing efforts to keep our streets safer, bike lanes clear, and traffic flowing smoothly, these new officers began their orientation and training this morning. “When we’re holding traffic or allowing pedestrians to cross, it’s all about safety. When lots of people are leaving events, it’s about getting everyone to return home to their loved ones safely. Safety is our foremost focus here at DOT.” —Director Corren Johnson Training kicks off today, and you’ll see them out on the streets starting in the new year. Let’s give them a warm welcome as they step into these vital roles for Baltimore!
