Yesterday, BMC Investments and Mile High Development officially broke ground on?the $90 million Fitzsimons Gateway, a 210-unit affordable housing project designed for families and individuals who make between 30% and 70% of the area’s median income at the Southeast corner of Colfax Avenue and Peoria Street in Aurora which will open in 2026.?This is our first low income housing tax credit (LIHTC) project which launched our new affordable housing platform that we anticipate will deliver more than 1,000 units of affordable housing for the Denver metro area over the next five years.?We are enormously grateful for our all of our financing partners without whom this project could not have happened including ZOMA Capital through Greenline Ventures, U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance (Tax Credit Investor), KeyBank Real Estate Capital (Construction Loan), Fannie Mae MTEBS through KeyBank Capital Markets (Perm Loan), Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA), Mercy Community Capital, Impact Development Fund (CDFI), Prop 123 through OEDIT, Colorado Department of Housing, Urban Land Conservancy, City of Aurora, Aurora Urban Renewal Authority, and the Aurora Housing Authority - Colorado.?
