Kudos to the Ice Mountain? Brand team in Mecosta, Michigan! ? Our employees joined hundreds of volunteers for the annual Trash Bash clean-up event to pick up trash in and around Michigan's Muskegon River watershed. Volunteers ventured off by canoes, kayaks or walked the banks of the river to grab everything from discarded tires to lawn chairs to everyday debris – plucking it all out of the waterway to help make the environment healthy, clean, and beautiful. ? The event, by the Muskegon River Watershed Assembly, supports the river and waterways by collecting trash within the watershed. In Canada, Friends of Mill Creek have been working tirelessly to preserve the natural beauty and functionality of the Mill Creek subwatershed. As a member of this organization, BlueTriton Brands supports the opportunity for high school students to join the Mill Creek Rangers program to receive hands-on experience in natural resource management. The mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine was a devastating event that deeply affected our community and Poland Spring? employees almost one year ago.?In response, we are proud to have supported the City of Lewiston on the purchase of new ballistic vests for first responders and fire departments in six Maine communities. ? In the wake of Hurricane Helene, we quickly mobilized to support our communities. Through partnerships with disaster relief organizations like Americares and World Central Kitchen, BlueTriton Brands has been able to deliver clean water to storm-impacted communities, including leveraging our local ReadyRefresh branches for rapid delivery. As recovery efforts continue, more than 486,000 bottles of water have been donated with more on the way.? ? Our Ice Mountain? Brand began developing the Twin Creek Nature Area, a 27-acre nature preserve, in a small rural Michigan community in 2019. The idea emerged with the need to address stormwater from a heavily traveled, unpaved dirt road. Once the road was paved and green infrastructure was constructed to help manage stormwater, a nature area was planned. It’s now home to wildlife and hundreds of different plant species.
