This is an excellent summary of some important employment law changes to stay on top of in the coming months. ?? Pay transparency laws are spreading to more jurisdictions impacting employers across the country. ?? Increased minimum wage requirements in 21 states and 48 cities or counties this month plus 5 more states and 23 more cities or counties scheduled to increase minimum wage later this year. ?? Simplier rules for classifying independent contractors. ?? New workplace safety standards. ?? No increase to the overtime minimum salary threshold that was originally set to go into effect this month.
