I'm not sure when this started... but at some point LinkedIn became a highlight reel is it just me or is everyone as successful & dominant as Michael Jordan or Simone Biles? but we all know that's not reality people only post the good stuff because they're scared about ?? being judged ?? not getting hired ?? or losing business (?? me) but it feels fake and inauthentic. really stepford-y (or for a more modern example: WandaVision-y) so if you want the real real, here are 3 things about me & 3 people to follow: ?? I still have imposter syndrome. At this point don't think it's ever going to go away. I sometimes imagine myself on stage, having a spotlight on me, and being booed and taken off stage with a big hook (which is particularly unsettling right before going on stage) ?? I've been ghosted by prospects. I've had really incredible conversations, put together detailed proposals, had them interview a Blue Manta team member, and they still ghosted me. I've never been stood up on a date before, but I'm guessing it feels pretty similar. Hard not take it personally. ?? Running a business has been tough. It can feel incredibly lonely, scary to not have a steady pay check, and overwhelming. There's no GPS with a route to growth, you kind of stumble though it, figuring it out as you go and learning from others. It’s scary. -- aaaand if you want real real, follow: Archita Fritz – shares the reality of business, and intersection of race, gender, psychological safety, and age. Check out her post called "Dream Big, Fail Forward," it's a great way to think about goal setting Andrew Capland – gets so real on his podcast and talks about the not so fun stuff: what went wrong and why, with some of the biggest names out there Sid Khaitan – just launched a podcast series on Fails & Fixes where he interviews PMMs to talk about what didn't go according to plan and why -- p.s. who is your favorite authentic voice on LinkedIn?

Blue Manta Consulting helps companies establish their GTM strategy, accelerate growth, and retain customers. Everyone knows that startups need a solid Go-To-Market strategy to scale But knowing something and successfully doing it are two different things (or else I’d have a six-pack ??) Crafting a killer GTM strategy and executing it is much easier said than done And it’s critical you get it right because the right GTM approach can skyrocket your growth, but the wrong strategy will keep your startup grounded You need a partner with GTM expertise, experience, and perspective to help I’ve spent over a decade helping dozens of companies create and execute a winning GTM strategy and I want to partner with you too. ???? ??????’???? ?? ?????? ???????? ?????????????? all of my clients hire me for 1 of 3 reasons: 1?? ?????????????? ?????????????????? They have a specific need and don't have anyone internally with the expertise to tackle it. Pricing & packaging is the probably the most common request in this bucket 2?? ???????? ???? ?????????????????? They have a great team, but let's face it, they're swamped and don't have enough bandwidth to tackle yet another product launch or win/loss analysis. So, they hire my team to take care of it for them. 3?? ?????????? ???? ???????????? They have the expertise and probably the bandwidth, but they just need to move faster Maybe a competitor is nipping at their heels or they have pressure from investor or the board, either way the deadline is yesterday and they need the cavalry --- it's funny, when I started my business, I was **convinced** that my ICP was startups with no PMM teams and that I was going to work on 6+ months long soup-to-nuts GTM for them instead, I've been really surprised how many of my clients have good sized PMM teams (5+), but still hire my team for long engagements some are project based, like positioning & messaging, but others are fractional where they just need ongoing support across tons of different initiatives it's been such a fun journey and I wouldn't change it! p.s. if your startup suddenly an extra PMM for 10-15 hrs/week, what would be the first thing you ask them to tackle? ??

job market is incredibly tough right now if you're a PMM looking for a new full-time or contract role, I want to try to help I run a GTM Consultancy for B2B SaaS startups and have a team of 5-7 active contractors working on client projects I also get asked by clients (and my network) for recommendations for PMMs to fill their full-time roles I started a Google Form to keep all this organized and posted it last week thrilled to say 37 PMMs filled it out! I'd like to share it again now – check out the comments for the link if you're open to contract (part-time) or full-time PMM roles, fill it out I can't guarantee anything, but maybe the stars align and there's a referral I can make or a client project I can slot you in for if you've already got a job, tag a friend who's looking! might make a difference let's support PMMs looking for their next gig!

thrilled and honored to be named a Top 20 Go-To-Market Influencers to Watch in 2025 by GTM Alliance! this means a lot to me because this month it's exactly two years since I started my GTM/PMM Consultancy, Blue Manta Consulting maybe I've done a bad job of showing it on LinkedIn, so it seems like the journey has been all sunshine & rainbows, but it hasn't I've felt: - unsure about my packaging & pricing - constantly worried about getting more clients - like crap getting ghosted by a prospect I had multiple conversations with - overwhelmed juggling it all - not strong enough to say no to bad-fit ICP and/or projects - worried about finances and to be honest, I still feel a lot of this! but I'm working on it every day so, yeah, this recognition is really affirming. By the way, not sure who nominated me, but appreciate you! Huge thank you to GTM Alliance and congrats to everyone nominated! thrilled to be in your company ?? Shoshana Kordova ??Sean Broderick Madison Leonard ??Jeff Ignacio Daniel Kuperman Anjai Lal Olga Leimann ??Justin Graci??Mirze Rey And many more! two years running my PMM/GTM consultancy taught me so much empathy for startup founders here's why ?? 1?? ?????????????????????? ???????? ???? ???????? – ?????????? ???? ???????? ???????? ???? ?????????? ???????? ?? - do I talk to two more prospects this week or do I create more content for top of funnel? - do I go to this event or that one? - should I get on a podcast or write a blog post? - do I spend time working on my business or on client work? etc. the options feel endless and choosing the right one isn't easy and takes time 2?? ???? ??????'???? ?????? ??????????????, ??????'???? ???????????????????? (?????? ?????? ???????????????? ???? ????????) ?? growing & scaling aren't just words on a powerpoint slide. there's constant pressure to refine product-market fit and scale with limited resources 3?? ?????????? ???????????????? ?????? ???????????????? – ?????? ??????'?? ??????????? ?? feedback is gold, but it's easy to overindex on one particular nugget, assuming that their feedback applies to most customers. then you end up building a custom solution for them that nobody else wants – recipe for disaster. I nearly started an entire content branch of my business, only to realize I wanted no part in that. it's a whole other kind of business --- so yeah, I'm definitely empathetic when startup founders tell me about their challenges if you're a founder or startup leader looking for GTM/PMM guidance, send me a DM always happy to chat!

we're all *a little* self-centered but you know where that self-obsession shines through the most? startup sales pitches ?? a few weeks ago, a sales rep asked me for feedback on his pitch he had 7 minutes to pitch to a room full of prospects we went through his deck (10 slides in case you're curious) and while it wasn't bad, it was 99% about his company and product ??? the dating equivalent of going on a first date and droning on and on and on about yourself, while not asking a single question about your date not cute, right? (is it too late to say "very demure, very mindful?") ? here are the 4 things we did in the next 30 minutes to quickly pivot: 1?? ?????????????? ?????? ??????????'?? ??????????? we made it 90% about showing we understand prospects and what they're going through and 10% about the company/product 2?? ?????????????????????? ?????????? ?????? ???????????????? ???????????? & ?????????? ????????????? the goal was to make them identify with these challenges and feel understood 3?? ????????????? ???????? ???? ?????????? ???? ???????????????? ?????????? ???????????????????? ???????? ?????? ???? ?????????? and we explained how 4?? ?????? ??????????????, ???? ?????????????????? ?????? ?????? ?????????????? ?????? ???????? ???????? putting them at the forefront and our product as their helper (think Luke and his lightsaber) result? a pitch about the company's prospects, not about the company and one guaranteed to stand out in a day full of startups pitching how awesome they are ?? p.s. what's the best sales pitch you've ever seen? how about the worst?

looking for a full time or contract PMM role? there are a ton of fantastic PMMs looking for new roles + many employers hiring every so often I get asked for help hiring or getting hired unfortunately, I have a bad memory and LinkedIn messages search functionality leaves a lot to be desired.. so I'm starting a Google form! the idea is to have a pool of candidates available next time someone reaches out looking for recommendations or when I need to hire a contractor for my business if you're looking for a full-time or contract PMM role and want to be included, check out the link in the comments and full out the form! p.s. please don't flood my inbox with DMs. I don't have any open roles, this is for the future ??

how do you gauge product marketing success? my super satisfying take is: it depends for starters, larger orgs typically have better measurement in place and more tightly scoped roles which = more specific measures of PMM success secondly, because PMM is different at nearly every org, success metrics can vary a lot some of the most common ones I've encountered include: ?? win rate ?? win rate against a specific competitor ?? Sales' internal assessment on how knowledgeable and prepped they feel ?? product adoption or usage ?? revenue from upsell or cross-sell campaign, or from a product launch ?? website conversion rate etc. the most important thing is to align metrics with the initiatives your team is responsible for p.s what are your go-to ways to measure PMM success?
