The historic Stone Mill Lofts is one of the first all-electric, mixed-income communities in Massachusetts, led by long-time borrower #WinnDevelopment. This week, our #BlueHubCapital team joined Community Servings, a long-standing borrower, for an incredible day of service. This nonprofit provides over 20,000 medically tailored, scratch-made meals each week to individuals and families facing chronic and critical illnesses across Massachusetts. We helped chop chicken, package the sides and pack meal bags for those in need. It was an inspiring day filled with teamwork, connection and the shared purpose of giving back. BlueHub borrower Horizons for Homeless Children is stepping up to meet the growing needs of families affected by the migrant crisis by expanding their services and creating playrooms in overflow shelters. These spaces provide children experiencing homelessness with a safe environment to learn, play and prepare for kindergarten. Horizons for Homeless Children supports over 225 children, offering key early education and emotional care to help mitigate the developmental delays caused by homelessness. ?? Kids' Meals, Inc., a Houston, TX nonprofit that delivers free, healthy meals ?? to preschool-aged children in need, is constructing a new 50,000 sqft Building Hope Campus. This expansion, supported by $32.5M in New Markets Tax Credits provided by BlueHub and Regions Bank, will increase meal distribution from 2.7M to over 7M meals annually, while also offering social services like financial literacy and job training. “Kids’ Meals research shows just how tight family budgets are. With newly appointed SVP of Climate Lending, Elizabeth Fish Glynn, leading our climate lending with BlueHub Loan Fund President Karen Kelleher, we’re preparing to tap into opportunities from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) to drive equitable access to clean energy and sustainable housing solutions. BlueHub Loan Fund is supporting the $51 million redevelopment of the historic Worcester Boys Club into Residences on Lincoln Square – an affordable housing community for adults 55+ led by #WinnDevelopment. This project will breathe new life into a 94-year-old building while creating 80 affordable homes for seniors. Designed to meet Passive House energy standards, the development will offer all-electric, energy-efficient homes, contributing to Worcester, MA's climate goals. Sixty-eight units will be available to households earning up to 60% of area median income (AMI), with additional units reserved for those earning up to 30% AMI and residents with disabilities.
