It’s not every day that the BlueGreen conference room is full of 7th grade students. Through Shavot - ????, a non-profit dedicated to empowering young girls with leadership skills, we shared BlueGreen’s mission and led a hands-on experiment that sparked thoughtful discussions and insightful questions. Thank you, Shavot, for the opportunity to inspire young minds with sustainability and innovation, encouraging them to create meaningful change in their communities. Our poll results are here! 70% of the Earth’s surface is covered in water. Did you know that only 3% of earth’s water is freshwater suitable for drinking, agriculture and industrial uses, and only 0.5% of this is accessible? Most freshwater is trapped in glaciers or otherwise inaccessible for use. Moreover, clean water is unevenly distributed around the world, and many communities lack clean water resources. Water bodies have been disrupted by increasing emissions, industry and urban life, among other factors, all of which lead to harmful algal blooms (HABs) which make water unusable. We make water safe, restoring ecosystem balance, biodiversity, improving public health and ensuring communities have access to usable water sources.

We’re dedicated to improving water quality and sustainability through innovative algae management solutions. Our project at Setumo Dam in South Africa is a prime example of how we’re addressing critical water challenges in the region. ?? Working alongside local stakeholders, our technology targets harmful algal blooms, improving water quality, public health, and local ecosystems. Our Lake Guard?? Oxy solution restored ecological balance in the dam, improving water safety for surrounding communities and helping build resilience against future outbreaks. The project at Setumo Dam is part of our broader mission to advance sustainable water management solutions worldwide. Through cutting-edge technologies and collaboration with local governments and organizations, we’re working to ensure a cleaner, safer future for communities that rely on these vital water resources. ??
